Amy Becker LaFrance, MPH

Ms. LaFrance is the CIDRAP coordinator for the Project on Strengthening State and Local Public Health Preparedness—an undertaking of The Pew Charitable Trusts in collaboration with CIDRAP and the Pew Center on the States. She received her MPH from the University of Minnesota in 2006 in public health policy and global health. Ms. LaFrance has worked at CIDRAP since 2004, including as a staff writer and as co-coordinator for a university pandemic influenza planning conference. While a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, she conducted her fieldwork in global influenza policy and developed a pandemic plan for a nonprofit organization.

Ms. LaFrance has a journalism and French degree and worked professionally as a newspaper reporter and copy editor from 1993 through 2004.
